Cloudy skies, scattered rain to prevail over Visayas, Mindanao –PAGASA

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Central and Eastern Visayas due to the shear line or tail-end of a frontal system, PAGASA said Sunday.

In its daily weather bulletin, PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA added that the Western Visayas, Palawan, and the rest of Mindanao would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line or localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over Northern Luzon, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will be experienced in the eastern sections of Luzon, Visayas, and the rest of the country. — DVM, GMA News
