Parts of Visayas, Mindanao to have scattered rains due to shear line
Some areas in Visayas and Mindanao will have scattered rains on Monday due to the shear line or tail-end of a frontal system, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Caraga Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and BARMM will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line. Flash floods or landslides may result during times of moderate to heavy rains.
Western Visayas, Palawan, and the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line and localized thunderstorms, with flash floods or landslides possible during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Luzon and will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Northern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
