Shear line to affect Visayas, northern section of Mindanao —PAGASA

The shear line or tail-end of the frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Central and Eastern Visayas, state weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.

In its daily weather forecast,  PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Western Visayas, Palawan, and the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line or localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over the Northern Luzon, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will be experienced in the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas, and the rest of the country.—Ma.
