Cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas due to LPA, shear line
At 3 a.m. on Friday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 60 kilometers east of Catarman, Northern Samar as the northeast monsoon continue to affect Luzon, PAGASA reported.
Visayas, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Mindoro Provinces, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA and Shear Line with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The wind speed forecast for northern and eastern sections of Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
