PAGASA: LPA to bring rains over Mimaropa, Western Visayas
A low pressure area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies and rains over Mimaropa and Western Visayas on Friday, while the northeast monsoon is still affecting Northern and Central Luzon, state weather bureau PAGASA said on Friday.
In its 4 p.m. public weather forecast, the LPA was last spotted 175 kilometers southeast of Coron, Palawan.
According to PAGASA, the LPA will bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in Mimaropa and Western Visayas with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Mindanao, Calabarzon, Bicol region, and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon, PAGASA said.
Wind speed forecast for Luzon and Visayas will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Meanwhile, Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed, while slight to moderate coastal waters.—Richa Noriega/LDF, GMA News
