Shear line affecting eastern section of southern Luzon, Visayas —PAGASA

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over the Bicol Region and Northern Samar due to the shear line or the tail end of a frontal system, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its daily weather forecast, PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

PAGASA said the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Mindanao and the rest of Visayas, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are also possible, PAGASA added.

Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will be experienced in northern Luzon, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will prevail over the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
