The shear line (tail-end of frontal system) will be affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon, weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.

Based on PAGASA's 4 p.m. weather forecast, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Davao Region, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Rizal, Bulacan, and the rest of Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with rains caused by the shear line.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern and Central Luzon is moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The sun will rise at 6:02 a.m. on Saturday. — Richa Noriega/RSJ, GMA News
