Northern monsoon to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over some provinces in Luzon
The shear line will be affecting the eastern sections of northern and central Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Palawan and Mindanao, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Palawan and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorm with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for northern and central Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
