PAGASA: Cloudy skies, scattered rains to prevail over north, east Luzon areas

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Provinces, and Catanduanes, PAGASA said Sunday.

In its daily weather bulletin, PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rain.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Palawan, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during moderate to, at times, heavy rains, PAGASA added.

Metro Manila, and the rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will also be experienced over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

Further, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ or localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said there might be flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms as well.

Moreover, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal conditions will prevail over Luzon, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will be experienced in the Visayas and Mindanao. — DVM, GMA News
