LPA spotted near Davao City
State weather bureau PAGASA on Monday spotted a low pressure area near Davao City.
In its daily weather bulletin, PAGASA said the LPA was located 735 kilometers east of Davao City at 3 p.m.
The LPA and the shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, and Bohol.
PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.
Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
The northeast monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.
Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao. The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
