Northeast Monsoon to bring light rains over parts of Luzon on Christmas Day
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) currently affecting Northern and Central Luzon will bring light rains over some areas on Saturday, Christmas Day, PAGASA said in its early morning advisory.
Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, and Kalinga will have cloudy skies with light rains.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, and the rest of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, and Davao Oriental on the other hand will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone. Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rains.
The rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal areas will be moderate to rough over the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon, with waves possibly reaching up to 4 meters tall.
As for the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
