Shear line, ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rains over Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan
The shear line will be affecting Visayas, the northeastern section of Mindanao while the effects of the northeast monsoon will be felt in Luzon on Wednesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) with possible flash floods or landslides due to heavy to at times intense rains.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, and the rest of MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao is moderate to strong moving northeastward wile coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
