Amihan to bring isolated light rains over parts of Northern Luzon


The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Northern Luzon on Sunday and will bring isolated light rains over the area, PAGASA said in its early morning advisory.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, but with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result from severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough, with waves up to 2.8 meters tall, in Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, eastern and western section of Southern Luzon, and the eastern section of Visayas.

The seas will also be moderate to rough in the eastern section of Mindanao, with waves reaching up to 2.5 meters.

As for the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
