PAGASA: Shear Line affecting Eastern Mindanao

The Shear Line will bring rains over Eastern Mindanao areas while the Northeast Monsoon will dampen Luzon and Visayas areas, state weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday.

In its 4 p.m. daily weather forecast, PAGASA said the Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region will experience cloudy skies with rains and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies and light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, and Quezon.

Light rains will also pour over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas due to the Northeast Monsoon.

On the other hand, the rest of Mindanao is affected by the localized thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
