Shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of Mindanao – PAGASA
The shear line (tail-end of frontal system) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains in the eastern section of Mindanao while the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will affect the rest of the country, weather bureau PAGASA said on Friday.
Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, SOCCSKSARGEN, Davao Region, and BARMM will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line.
Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte will have cloudy skies with light rains due to Amihan.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The wind speed forecast for the rest of the country is moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The sun will rise at 6:25 a.m. on Saturday. — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
