Shear line to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over northern Mindanao, 4 provinces

The shear line will be affecting the eastern section of Mindanao on Saturday while the northeast monsoon will affect the rest of the country, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Northern Mindanao, Caraga, SOCCSKSARGEN, Davao Region, and BARMM will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The wind speed in the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to strong moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The sun will rise by 6:25 a.m. and set by 5:46 p.m. -- BAP, GMA News
