Shear line to bring scattered rain showers over Mindanao

Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Sunday due to the shear line affecting its eastern section, state weather bureau PAGASA said in its 24-hour public weather forecast.

Flash floods or landslides may result during times of moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is currently affecting the country and will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, and Quezon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with waves possibly reaching up to 4 meters tall.

The seas will also be moderate to rough in the rest of the country, with wave heights up to 3.8 meters.

Sunrise will be at 6:25 a.m. while the sunset will be at 5:47 p.m. —KG, GMA News
