19°C early Tuesday is lowest NCR temperature so far this Amihan season


PAGASA on Tuesday registered the lowest temperature in Metro Manila since the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan season began.

The state weather bureau's synoptic station in Science Garden in Quezon City measured the areas temperature at 19.0°C, the lowest so far since the Amihan season started in October 2021. This is colder than the recorded temperature on Sunday of 19.7°C.

Based on PAGASA Daily Temperature data, these are the top ten lowest temperatures on Tuesday:

  • Baguio City, Benguet: 12.0°C, 06:50 a.m.
  • San Jose, Occidental Mindoro: 17.5°C, 05:00 a.m.
  • Casiguran, Aurora: 17.6°C, 06:00 a.m.
  • Tanay, Rizal: 17.8°C, 05:00 a.m.
  • Tuguegarao City, Cagayan: 17.8°C, 07:55 a.m.
  • Laoag City, Ilocos Norte: 18.7°C, 07:00 a.m.
  • Abucay, Bataan: 19.0°C, 04:00 a.m.
  • Science Garden, Quezon City: 19.0°C, 06:00 a.m.
  • Subic, Zambales: 19.2°C, 05:45 a.m.
  • Malaybalay, Bukidnon: 19.3°C, 06:00 a.m.

PAGASA's historical data also showed that 14.5 °C was the lowest temperature recorded in Metro Manila. This was logged by the Port Area, Manila station on January 11, 1914. — Consuelo Marquez/BM, GMA News
