Shear line to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Bicol, Quezon, Samar provinces


The shear line will be affecting the eastern section of southern Luzon on Thursday while the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect the rest of Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Bicol Region, Quezon, northern Samar, eastern Samar, and Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
