LPA, shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over Visayas, Zamboanga, Bicol, MIMAROPA, Quezon
As of 3 a.m. on Wednesday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated to be in the vicinity of Tayasan, Negros Oriental as the northeast monsoon will affect northern and central Luzon, according to PAGASA's early morning forecast.
Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the LPA / shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Northen Luzon and the eastern section of central and southern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The wind speed forecast for eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao is moderate to strong moving in the southeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
