Shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over Ilocos Region, CAR, Batanes, Cagayan


The shear line will continue to bring cloudy skies, scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over parts of northern Luzon on Saturday, PAGASA reported.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, and Cagayan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies / shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for extreme northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to southwest direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
