Shear line to bring rains over Northern Luzon; easterlies to affect rest of the country

The shear line (tail-end of the frontal system) will affect Northern Luzon, while the easterlies will bring scattered rains over the rest of the country, weather bureau PAGASA said on Saturday.

Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, and Cagayan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast for extreme Northern Luzon is moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
