Ilocos, CAR, Batanes, Cagayan to have scattered rain showers due to frontal system

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, and Cagayan will have cloudy skies, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Sunday due to the frontal system — the area where cold and warm air meet — affecting Extreme Northern Luzon, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

These areas may also have flash floods or landslides during times of moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Extreme Northern Luzon, with waves possibly reaching up to 4 meters.

As for the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise will be at 6:25 a.m. while sunset will be at 5:54 p.m. —KG, GMA News
