Trough of the LPA to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over the Visayas, 6 areas
The trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies, scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan and Mindanao while the northeast monsoon will be affecting the rest of Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Visayas, Caraga, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and the provinces of Quezon, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the trough of the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
