Easterlies, frontal system to bring rains over parts of the country — PAGASA


The easterlies and frontal system will bring rains over parts of the country, according to weather bureau PAGASA on Friday.

Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, Caraga and Davao Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies.

PAGASA said these areas may also have possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Batanes will have cloudy skies with rains due to the frontal system with also possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to Northeast Monsoon.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast for Northern, Central, and Southern Luzon and Visayas is moderate to strong moving east to southeast while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
