LPA trough, easterlies, Amihan to bring rains over parts of the country

Parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have rains on Sunday due to the trough of a low pressure area, the easterlies, and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

The Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough or extension of a low pressure area and the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the monsoon.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Amihan.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Northern Luzon, and the eastern sections of Visayas, Central and Southern Luzon.

As for the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
