Shear line, Amihan to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of Luzon

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with rains over the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will affect Northern Luzon and the rest of Central Luzon, weather bureau PAGASA said on Saturday.

Caraga and Davao Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA said in its 24-hour weather forecast.

Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to frequent moderate rains.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to Amihan.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon, eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao is moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
