LPA to bring rains over parts of Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region

A low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region, according to weather bureau PAGASA on Saturday.

The LPA was last spotted 540 kilometers east of Surigao City at 3 p.m. Saturday, PAGASA said in its 24-hour weather forecast.

Because of the LPA, PAGASA said Central Visayas and Eastern Visayas, as well as the Caraga and Davao regions, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies or localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon will be light to moderate while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed and slight to moderate coastal water conditions. — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
