Scattered rain, thunderstorms expected across the central Philippines –PAGASA

A low-pressure area would bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Mimaropa, Bicol, and Caraga Regions; the Visayas; Davao de Oro; Davao Oriental; and Zamboanga del Norte, weather service PAGASA reported in a Sunday afternoon forecast.

PAGASA warned that these areas could experience flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rain.

The LPA itself was 250 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur at 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, the easterlies and localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms were also possible in these areas. — DVM, GMA News
