Frontal system, ITCZ to bring scattered rain showers over several areas
Two weather systems — a frontal system and intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) — will bring scattered rain showers over several areas on Monday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
The frontal system is affecting Extreme Northern Luzon and will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands, according to PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.
The ITCZ meanwhile is affecting Mindanao and will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Kalayaan Islands, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao. Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.
The rest of Luzon and Western Visayas meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies or localized thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
