LPA to cause scattered rain showers over Visayas, Caraga, Bicol, Negros Occidental

A low pressure area (LPA) located east northeast of Surigao City will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday over Eastern and Central Visayas, Caraga, Bicol Region, and Negros Occidental, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

At 3 a.m., the LPA was located at 455 km east northeast of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte, or 390 km east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao, with waves possibly reaching up to 2.6 meters.

In Luzon, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
