PAGASA: Thunderstorms to prevail across the country

Localized thunderstorms will prevail over the country in the next 24 hours, weather bureau PAGASA said Saturday.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon and evening, PAGASA said in its 4 p.m. weather forecast.

The weather bureau is also monitoring a low pressure area, which was located 980 kilometers east of Northern Luzon at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Forecast wind speeds for the whole archipelago will be light to moderate, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate, with heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters. —Sherylin Untalan/VBL, GMA News
