PAGASA: Rains to prevail over the weekend
A rainy weekend may be experienced in the country due to the combined effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Mindanao, easterlies affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, and localized thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.
In its 24-hour public forecast on Friday, the state weather bureau said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms may prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in the affected areas due to moderate, to at times, heavy rains.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions are forecast over the country.
The highest temperature reached 33.4°C at 1 p.m. while the lowest was recorded at 5 a.m at 26.4°C.
