PAGASA: Monsoon rains to dampen parts of Philippines
Rains will continue to persist across a large swath of the country due to the southwest monsoon or habagat and the localized thunderstorms.
State weather bureau PAGASA on Monday said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are forecast in Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, and Western Visayas.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, PAGASA warned the public against rain-induced flash floods and landslides that may occur in the affected areas.
The low pressure area, formerly tropical storm Dodong, was seen 925 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao as of 3 p.m.
Coastal conditions over the seaboards of Luzon and the western section of Visayas may be moderate to rough while the rest of the country may experience slight to moderate waters.
The sun will set at 6:39 p.m. It will rise Tuesday at 5:36 a.m.—Sundy Locus/LDF, GMA Integrated News
