Southwest Monsoon to affect southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao
Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will continue to experience the effects of the Southwest Monsoon, PAGASA said in its 24-hour weather forecast issued on Friday afternoon.
The Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the effects of the Monsoon, while Batanes will be having cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms.
The rains may bring flash floods or landslides in certain affected areas in the country.
The Philippines will be having light to moderate winds blowing southwest, with slight to moderate coastal waters over the next few hours.
