Amihan, Easterlies to bring rains in parts of PH

The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan and the Easterlies will bring rains to various parts of the country, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Wednesday, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be felt over Eastern and Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN because of the Easterlies.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be experiencing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the Easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Possible flooding and landslides may occur as a result of said weather conditions.

Extreme Northern Luzon is forecast to experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise at 6:08 am on Thursday morning. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
