4 weather systems to bring isolated rains over parts of the country
The northeast monsoon (amihan) will be affecting Luzon while the easterlies will affect the areas within Visayas and Mindanao on Friday, PAGASA reported.
Bicol Region, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rain due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.
Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, and MIMAROPA will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is strong moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
