Easterlies, Amihan to bring rains over several areas

The easterlies and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rains over several areas on Sunday, according to PAGASA's weather forecast.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Moderate to at times heavy rains may result in flash floods or landslides.

Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Kalinga, Apayao, Aurora, and Quezon may expect cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas meanwhile will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.

The rest of Mindanao on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
