Amihan prevails over parts of Luzon, easterlies affect rest of PH
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting parts of Northern and Central Luzon, while the easterlies prevail over the rest of the country.
According to PAGASA’s 24-hour weather forecast released on Friday afternoon, Caraga and Davao Region may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms because of the easterlies.
Cloudy skies with light rains may be expected over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may occur in Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon.
The rest of the country may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms as a result of the combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
Northern Luzon may see moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:08 a.m. on Saturday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
