Amihan, easterlies to bring rains over parts of the country

The northeast monsoon (amihan) will be affecting Northern and Central Luzon while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao is moderate to strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward with slight to moderate.
