Shear line, Amihan to bring scattered rainshowers over parts of PH
A shear line will continue to affect the eastern parts of Central and Southern Luzon on Thursday, while the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will continue to be felt in Northern Luzon.
According to PAGASA's 4 a.m. forecast, cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms because of the shear line will prevail over Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte. The state weather bureau warned of "possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains" in these areas.
On the other hand, Amihan may cause cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.
Weather condition in Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by easterlies and localized thunderstorms. This condition, PAGASA said, may bring possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao may have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, while the rest of Mindanao is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise will be at 6:04 a.m. and sunset on 6:06 p.m. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
