Thunderstorms affect parts of Quezon, Laguna, 5 other provinces

Moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are now being experienced in Tagkawayan and Guinayangan in Quezon Province and Calamba and Cabuyao in Laguna, state weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.

In its 11:10 a.m. thunderstorm advisory, PAGASA said the condition may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.

It added that moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are also expected over Cavite, Batangas, Bataan, Zambales, and Nueva Ecija within the next two hours.

PAGASA warned the affected residents against flash floods and landslides, among other effects of the weather condition.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
