Habagat, localized thunderstorms to bring rains to parts of PH
The western section of Mindanao should expect cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms on Friday due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, state weather forecasters said.
In its weather outlook for the day, PAGASA said Habagat may prevail over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi and warned residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. PAGASA also warned residents of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms
As for wind and coastal water conditions, Luzon and Visayas are expected to have light to moderate wind speeds blowing from southeast to southwest while coastal water will likely be slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters).
For Mindanao, PAGASA said wind speed will also be light to moderate blowing from southwest to south while the region's coastal waters is expected to be slight to moderate
(0.6 to 2.1 meters).
Minimum temperature for the day will be 26.8°C at 6 a.m. while the maximum will 34.8°C at 2 p.m. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
