Southwest Monsoon to cause cloudy skies, rains in parts of Luzon


Southern Luzon will experience cloudy skies brought by the Southwest Monsoon.

Southern Luzon will experience cloudy skies brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, PAGASA said on Saturday afternoon. 

The local weather bureau said that the Southwest Monsoon may cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Aklan, and Antique.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Zambales, Bataan, the rest of MIMAROPA, and the rest of Western Visayas.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the Philippines may see light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
