Heavy rains affect parts of NCR, 8 Luzon provinces

Parts of Metro Manila and eight provinces in Luzon experienced heavy to intense rains with lightning and strong winds Thursday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 4:25 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the affected areas are:

• Metro Manila (Muntinlupa),
• Tarlac (Bamban),
• Pampanga (Porac, Mabalacat, Angeles),
• Nueva Ecija (Carranglan, Gabaldon, General Tinio, Laur),
• Batangas (San Juan),
• Rizal (Rodriguez, Antipolo, Binangonan, Pililla, Jala-Jala, Cardona),
• Laguna (Lumban, Kalayaan, Paete, Pagsanjan, Santa Cruz, Cavinti),
• Quezon (Sariaya), and
• Bulacan (Norzagaray, Dona Remedios Trinidad, Malolos, Hagonoy, Paombong, Calumpit).

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are expected over Zambales, Bataan, and Cavite within the next three hours.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
