Thunderstorm alert raised over Metro Manila, 8 provinces

Thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and eight provinces in Luzon in the next two hours, the state weather bureau PAGASA said in an advisory Tuesday afternoon.

At 2:59 p.m., PAGASA said moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds were expected over Zambales, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Batangas, and Nueva Ecija in the next two hours.

These conditions were being experienced in Pampanga (Mabalacat, Porac, Angeles), Tarlac (Mayantoc, San Clemente, Camiling, Santa Ignacia), and Bataan (Mariveles, Bagac, Morong).

''All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards, which include flash floods and landslides,'' PAGASA said. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
