Habagat will bring cloudy skies, isolated rain over parts of Luzon, Visayas

The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas on Friday, PAGASA reported.

Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Western Visayas, Ilocos Region, Cavite, Batangas, and Negros Occidental will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon and Visayas is light to moderate moving in the southwest to south direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Mindanao will experience light to moderate moving in the southwest to west direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
