Trough of STS Bebinca, Habagat will bring cloudy skies, rain over eastern Luzon, Visayas
The trough of Severe Tropical Storm Bebinca will cloudy skies with scattered rain over the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas while the southwest monsoon or habagat will be affecting Mindanao, and the rest of Southern Luzon and Visayas on Thursday, PAGASA reported.
Severe Tropical Storm Bebinca, which is outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), is 1,975 kilometers east of Central Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour, gustiness of up to 11 kph and moving northward at the speed of 20 kph.
Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of Bebinca with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of Bicol Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of STS Bebinca with the possibillity that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.
The rest of MIMAROPA and CALABARZON will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The eastern section of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving southwestward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The eastern sections of Luzon and the Visayas will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to west direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
