Habagat, trough of Bebinca to bring rain showers over parts of PH
The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring monsoon rains over Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao while the trough of Severe Tropical Storm Bebinca will affect the rest of Luzon on Friday, PAGASA reported.
Severe Tropical Storm Bebinca, which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), is located 1,605 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour, gustiness of up to 115 kph, and moving northwestward at 25 kph.
MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, and Negros Occidental will have monsoon rains due to the southwest monsoon with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to heavy to intense rains.
Bicol Region, the southern portion of Quezon, Batangas, and the rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to heavy rains.
Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of STS Bebinca with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will experience strong wind speed moving southwestward with rough coastal waters.
Palawan and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience moderate to rough wind speed moving in the southwest to west direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
