Amihan, easterlies to bring cloudy skies, wet weather over parts of PH

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rains and cloudy skies over Northern and Central Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.

In its weather forecast, the state weather bureau said Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan.

These moderate to at times heavy rains may cause flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorm over Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur and Dinagat Islands.

These conditions may result in moderate to at times heavy rains that could trigger flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to Amihan, with no significant weather impact expected.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be observed throughout the rest of the country due to the easterlies.

Residents of affected areas were warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

State meteorologists also said Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

Meanwhile, winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.
